The Data Associate analyzes the data that supports all program activities as well as supports the internal financial functions of MEDA.  Because of the importance of our mission, the nature of our work, and the needs of our clients, the Data Associate must have the ability to work independently, to prioritize work, and complete required tasks in a timely manner.

    ·       Support the program activities of the organization by recreating meaningful reports and analyzing data in a relational database.

    ·       Assist management and other staff in analyzing impact data for all programs.

    ·       Prepare reports for program areas, such as training, technical assistance, lending, and consulting.

    ·       Assist Controller and VP of Finance & IT wit month-end closing procedures.

    ·       Create and document workflow processes for all programs.

    ·       Assist IT with the creation and implementation of program dashboards in Salesforce.

Qualifications Required:

  • ·       Experience in nonprofit reporting.

    ·       This position requires proficient and accurate use of specific software such as NILs and Salesforce.

    ·       Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

    ·       Excellence in managing projects from conception to completion.

    ·       Commitment to quality customer service to the staff across all programs.

    ·       Dedication to the mission success of our nonprofit clients.

    ·       Action-oriented organized, self-starter with proven time-management skills.

    ·       Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

    ·       Commitment to working in collaboration with diverse groups of staff and clients.

    Required:

    ·       Associate degree, though equivalent combination of education and experience may satisfy this requirement.

    ·       Experience and proficiency with a variety of office productivity applications, including Microsoft Excel.

    ·       Strong organizational and communication skills.


Preferred:

BA or BS degree, ideally in accounting, business, or financial management or related field.


Physical Requirements:

This job operates in an office setting and is primarily a sedentary role. Occasional travel, primarily local, can be expected.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
