Job Summary:

Working with the VP CPO, the HR Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties in supporting our organization. We are looking for someone to hit the ground running to carry out responsibilities in the areas of staffing, maintenance of the HRIS systems, employee relations, benefits administration, and learning and development.

This role has a significant focus on recruiting and talent acquisition projects and will also provide insight and solutions that add value to the company’s strategic objectives.


Essential Functions:

Recruiting

  • This position will spend 50% of the time recruiting (may fluctuate with business needs).

  • Identifies sources of qualified candidates using all available sources (job board postings, website, advertising, external recruiters, referrals, cold calls, etc.)

  • Coordinates all candidates’ interviews. Works closely with Office Manager to coordinate travel arrangements for candidates.

  • Creates as-needed job descriptions and job postings.

  • Responsible to maintain the Applicant Tracking System and update hiring managers.

Employee Relations

  • Supports leadership team in managing and taking appropriate actions on employee relations issues consistent with Meda’s policy and applicable laws and regulations.

  • Conducts exit surveys/interviews and identifies appropriate actions.

  • Ensures AAP/EEO administration and communications are current.

Employee Benefits

  • Ensures FMLA administration and other mandated requirements are met.

  • Provide analysis on benefits options as needed.

  • Lead contact for the annual open enrollment

  • Supports employees with all payroll and benefit-related inquiries.

Learning and Development

  • Administers onboarding and learning and development.

  • Supports administration of onboarding activities, learning plan management, and mentor program for new hires.

Administration

  • Support the day-to-day ins and outs of onboarding new employees, payroll changes, and benefit questions as needed throughout the year.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to leave, employee relations, payroll, and benefits.


QUALIFICATION STANDARDS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources

  • General knowledge of HR principles, rules, regulations, trends, and developments.

  • Experience collaborating with managers on HR-related matters.

  • Experience providing support to employees on various HR-related topics.

  • Ability to manage situations with discretion and an appropriate sense of urgency.

  • Demonstrated proficiency at sourcing passive candidates through web searches and various job boards, LinkedIn, indeed, etc.

  • Hands-on experience with ATS systems

  • Familiarity with social networks, professional sites, and resume databases.

  • Understanding of Labor Law, OSHA, and other Federal, State, and Local regulations

  • Ability to go into the office in a hybrid schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SHRM-CP, PHR Certification, or willing to obtain within 6 months.

  • Prefer a minimum of 2+ years of full-lifecycle recruiting experience with an emphasis on sourcing and securing passive candidates.

·      Previous experience using Paychex, Kronos, or ADP payroll systems.

Physical Requirements:

This job operates in an office setting and is primarily a sedentary role.  Occasional travel can be expected.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.


Salary Range $60,000-$75,000 DOE
