“It’s time to show up. To give. To be the reason someone’s dream becomes reality. Let’s build what’s next - together.”

Some of the most remarkable people I’ve met are entrepreneurs.

Their strength, resilience, and relentless drive to overcome obstacles and turn vision into reality are nothing short of inspiring. They don’t just dream - they build, persist, and lead the way forward.

As CEO of MEDA - Metropolitan Economic Development Association, I’ve had the privilege to walk alongside BIPOC entrepreneurs who carry bold dreams on their backs, often with limited capital, few connections, and every odd stacked against them.

Still, they rise.

But let’s be clear: resilience should not be the cost of entry.

Talent and drive are everywhere. Access, funding, and opportunity are not.

That’s why MEDA exists - to close that gap and break down those barriers. We provide the capital, consulting, and connections needed to move these entrepreneurs from surviving to thriving.

Right now, it’s harder than ever to launch and grow a business. The systems are more unequal, the stakes are higher, and the window for equity is narrowing.

Now, more than ever, we must come together to support underserved entrepreneurs.

On October 11, I invite you to stand with us at the 2025 MEDA Fundraising Gala at Royalston Square - a powerful evening to recognize, celebrate and invest in BIPOC entrepreneurs and the future that benefits us all.

It’s time to show up. To give. To be the reason someone’s dream becomes reality. Let’s build what’s next - together.
