Mai Vang, known belovedly as the "Eggroll Queen," has been named MEDA's 2024 Resilient Entrepreneur of the Year. Nine years ago, Mai suddenly went deaf, leading to a period of deep depression. Her husband started Eggroll Queen to keep her engaged and help her cope with this life-changing event. Eggroll Queen began as a community service, raising funds through Mai's beloved eggroll recipe. The business quickly gained support from the community, allowing it to grow despite numerous challenges. Mai’s dedication and resilience have seen her through many obstacles, including theft and financial difficulties.
