As President of Minuteman Press, Frank Brown has made innovative moves to guide the growth of the print and design company. Brown and his wife, both residents of North Minneapolis, take pride in providing printing services for the community, nonprofits, unions, and political campaigns.

In 2021, Brown partnered with MEDA to finance the expansion of his business, which included the acquisition of two smaller print shops and the relocation and expansion from his original leased commercial space in the Uptown neighborhood to a larger facility the company now owns, located in North Minneapolis.

Minuteman Press’ new location will house larger equipment and allow the company to capitalize on consistent sales growth and demand for printing services. This move also requires Brown to scale up the company’s work force. “Being a BIPOC-owned business, I have tried to hire people that look like me to work at my company,” Brown notes.
