OurPlace Residential Services provides innovative support by offering services that are culturally relevant and respectful to the clients they serve. The four founders, Ikraan Abdulle, Faiso Abdulle, Murwo Elmi, and Farhia Abdulahi, all nurse practitioners, set out to develop a business with a mission to enhance the lives of people with disabilities by providing innovative services catered to their needs and a vision to provide the highest level of quality care and services to meet the needs of people with disabilities.

Since the organization’s inception in 2021, Ourplace Residential Services has provided Integrated Community Support to a growing roster of clients, routinely receiving referrals on a daily basis.

Aware of the demand for comprehensive support services for people with mental, physical, and cognitive disabilities, co-founders partnered with MEDA to secure and renovate a building in an underdeveloped Minneapolis neighborhood as a way to provide quality care both in-residence and in the community.
